Changes for both music video/website

I added a new shot of a flower, as on my storyboard I wanted to open my video with a long shot of a house so it sets the video. As well as adding my artists logo so it links with my website but I had trouble with making my logo transparent so I had to use it as a separate shot.Also I had to duplicate the song and mute it as the song would start at the start, but I wanted it to start when the handle goes onto the vinyl.

I also added a new shot of the house towards the end to show its near the end and I wanted to add a range of shots to my music video. By adding these new shots, it was easier to make the lip syncing better.

I sped up the video of my Grandad so it can flow more better with the fast shot of Jack as its a progression of age.

I added a plug to my behind the scenes video, give it more attention, so a added a still of a scene from the actual music video with the title of the song, then added a butterfly animation to fit well with my website.

I added more on the global protests that my band have done as well as inviting them to  a protest so its more interactive with their audience. I added their inspirations, as their audience may relate with their inspirations and find them relatable. I took a picture of Niamh and Finley holding a climate change poster and cut the background of it so its more different to the other photos, but the image links well with this section.  

Music video

• I've changed the ending of my music video, as I added a new shot of artists and young couple and old couple, to show the flow of time but I wanted to finish with the shot of the vinyl so I kept that.
• I added shots of the house in as well, to bring it all together.
• I had to cut out the person taking the photos, so I did a collage of the young people kidding around and having laughs. I lost the cowboy shot of couple holding hands so I left that out as it was difficult to film with them again.
• I couldn't do Ken Burns as my ipad cant do it, only on images and it was hard to airdrop to the Mac's.
• I repeated shots of guitar and vinyl shots, as it makes it flows better, I changed the speed of shots to fit the beat.

Website

• I changed the layout of my website, kept the font the same and changed the colour of the colour scheme and making it more yellow.
• I tried the social media at the left side but it felt out of place so I put it central. I wanted everything placed central.
• I kept the tour dates the same lay out.
• I placed the album cover in a light box and added a box with photos to replace where the album was meant to be, and it plays the song.

First draft post featuring your website (feedback)

Feedback for first draft:

• 'Latest News' section would benefit from more content. I think you should ask the audience to directly get involved with the band's global warming protest interests, make up details of a protest the audience can be invited to join and include a shot of the girls with a placard ready to protest.
• At the end of the 'Behind the scenes' include a plug for the new videos - this can just be stills, text and sound from the song overlaid but this provides more convergence.

Production diary post for the website

I added video overlays of butterflies so when you hover over them they move, which makes the website more fun for the audience . They also link with the behind the scenes video as at the end it has a animation of butterflies going past.

I added a photo of Niamh and Finley holding a poster for their global climate protest.  I added a typewriter to link in with my music video. I chosen Courier New as my ovreal font as it fits in with the vintage aesthetic I'm going for. The colour of the font has a brown/purple colour as the title which seperates the sections and its easier to see. The brown font matches the brown on the artist logo and fits well with the colour scheme.  

I wanted to interpret famous singers webistes into mines, so they had a lightbox that promoted their new album. I created an album cover so it'll go with the aesthetic of my account, it also matches the images behind the 'Tour' section so it flows more better. Furthermore, I added apps on this page, as it says stream now so I linked the music video to the apps, like a button, so its easier to acsess.

I placed the tour dates in a opaque  yellow box so you can still see the images and moving GIF's in the background. I made the dates bigger so it catches the audiences eye but I kept the typewriter font throughout the website so it flows more easier . 

Feedback on 1st Music Video draft

• The lip sync is out in 0:32, 0:40, 1:06, so I may shorten shots before the lip syncing or redo the lipsyncing in general.
• I can't use Ken Burns as you can only do it on images and not videos.
• The shot of my grandad needs to be sped up as it's still quite slow.
• I need to amend my statement of intent as I changed some things.

Production diary post for music video

This evidence that these videos are mine, I filmed on separate days. I used the VHS filter on the young people sections, because in films people used a filter so you would know its a flashback so I've been liking VHS lately so I interpreted that into my work.

I added the fade/dissolve to connote that its a flashback, I did these with the shots with young and old and this transition separates this shots to show the two social groups. Its demonstrates the idea I'm portraying much clearly to the audience.

I added the song title to my Nan typing on the typewriter so its like shes typing the title. The ink of the typewriter died so I had to result into putting it into the video. If I could improve, I wish I could of added a typewriter font but it had limited fonts.

My chosen song is under 3 minutes so at the ending I added the shots and ending the music video with the vinyl spinning without the handle to symbolise that the song finished. I used a shot from a lip syncing video, but I liked the pan from the video so I added it in, also shows that they've finished singing.
